Rice Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) Adult Female in Miami, Florida

My story
Hi everyone! My name is Rice. I am a terrier mix lady who is about 7 years old, and I weigh 54 lbs. I have been in the shelter for too long... through no fault of my own. The shelter staff thinks that I am perfect but whenever I ask them if I have a family that wants to adopt me they say that the right fit adopter hasn't applied. They tell me that I am worth the wait and that the right family will come along at the right time. I just have to cross my paws and hope that the right family sees me soon and applies to adopt or foster me! I love playing and being goofy in the yards, and I also get praised a lot for being an extremely sweet girl. Ideally, my furever owner(s) will be one with kids (I adore them! check out my video). The volunteers at the rescue even brought me to an elementary school for the day to teach the kiddos about rescue dogs and they said I was a superstar! I had so many kids petting me and loving on me… and boy did I LOVE it! I would also like to have an active adopter so we can go on runs or play around and a home filled with lots of love because I am very affectionate. I am good with other dogs with proper introduction, but no cats please - I think they're fun to chase.  Please, give me a chance!
